It was a beautiful day and we were on our way to visit a client, Astrid, who is danish living in Switzerland. She had kindly invited our family to pass by at the winery for a tasting and see how her products, that she has bought at Cabane Blanche made her terrace and the winery look very cosy and welcoming. She was one of the first customers buying from the website and since she lived close by, I delivered the goods in my car. Upon arrival, I came to realise that Astrid had married a wine maker in Tartegnin close to Rolle and was living in the middle of the vinyards in beautiful settings. She soon came to the showroom in Nyon and needed more things for the vinoteque. Then came the invitation to visit the winery for a tasting, since both my husband and I are wine lovers, we were curious to discover this winery and meet the family. Driving through the vinyards was beautiful and my children were curious to see where this danish woman, who had been to my shop, was living in the middle of the vineyards.. Their cute little daughter woke up after a long sleep and came walsing onto the terrace. She had been to a dance festival in Rolle earlier and was still dancing in her dreams. So she quickly became friends with my girls who are big fans of dancing too... Astrid and her husband Vincent were charming and lovely people and we ended up spending a few hours on the terrace. The Domaine de Penloup consists of 8 acres (32 000 m2) and is situated at the heights of the village Tartegnin, surrounded by vineyards and with a beautiful view overlooking the lake of Genevea "Lac Leman". The domaine has been owned by the Gränicher family since 1983. There are more than 10 varieties of grapes cultivated at the Domaine. From Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay to Gamaret and Merlot. The winery uses varied and innovative methods in order to ensure the highest quality of wine with a respect of and a protection and preservation of the land around, never forgetting the identity of each soil. The wolf or "loup" which is presented in both the name of the domaine and in the logo of the wine, is linked to an old tale, recalling that when wolves were still present in our region, the last living wolf was captured on their property. Hence the term 'Penloup' which was then given to the Domaine. I can recommend a visit to this nice place and we liked especially the premier grand cru white wine.. don't miss out either the natural chasselas coming from an organice parcel. No additive, no filtration, 100 % authentic..
A beautiful selection of pots, vases and garden furniture are now available on our web site to make your outdoor space enjoyable now that spring is here.. The first buyers of the site will receive a 20 % discount on their next purchase. Finally, from 5 May, the showroom will be open every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 17 p.m. and at the usual opening hours. We look forward to welcome you tomorrow!
To celebrate the launch of our online hub for interior decoration, photography and travel, I would like to make you discover an enchanted hotel in the city close to my heart, being my home town Copenhagen. What I love when I go home to Copenhagen, is that there is always something new to discover and this time I was very impressed, A brand new hotel, in the middle of the centre, where you feel as if Copenhagen had moved to Bali. This amazing place is called Manon and the Suites From the entrance, a lush vegetation surrounding a sumptuous swimming pool carries you in a tropical atmosphere. In addition to the central swimming pool, I recommend you not to miss a drink at the rooftop terrace overlooking the city. You can also admire the same view from the sauna-steam room... The Lakes of Copenhagen are right next to the hotel and are a popular place for joggers and walkers. From the hotel you can also go to the wonderful amusement park Tivoli, one of the oldest in the world or at the food stalls at Torvehallerne. The food is organic and the breakfast is delicious. The hotel is reasonably priced and part of the danish eco-friendly brand Guldsmeden with organic boutique hotels in Norway, Iceland, Berlin, South of France and Bali. www.guldsmedenhotels.com Guldsmeden has developed a range of environmentally friendly beauty products, that you will find for sale on our site.

Welcome to the showroom at Cabane Blanche. The idea for the showroom came up when we started the renovation of an old town house in Nyon in 2013. With help from the architects at Mangeat et Wahlen in Nyon, the space became a beautiful little hidden treasure with a small terrace and a beautiful loft in treated concrete. After many requests from visitors to the showroom, we decided to use this unique space, not only as showroom for Cabane Blanche, but as a space to rent for artists, entrepreneurs and small businesses, who wants to make an event or exhibition in the old town of Nyon. In November 2017, we did the first event with the artist Wiebke Meurer. Since 2001 Wiebke Meurer is living and working as an artist in Switzerland. She has been exposing silver objects in contemporary art galleries for more than 10 years. In 2013 she created the jewellery line JEWELS IN MOTION. Her aime was to create jewellery to wear everyday.
In the heart of Valais, we found this pearl of a historic hotel called Bella Tola, located in a small village called St-Luc in the region Val d'Anniviers. This wonderful hotel, which was built in 1859, is worth visiting for its spectacular location alone, which overlooks the whole valley. Anne-Françoise and Claude Buchs became the owners in 1996, following on from four generations of the winemaking Pont family. The Buchs put their heart and soul into making your stay an unforgettable experience. They have maintained the spirit of the original property whilst creating a stylish interior with a mix of tradition and chic.. The spa area is fantastic with a breath taking view from the terrace to the mountains. Unspoilt nature, authentic villages like Grimentz, Zinal, St-Luc and Vercorin and unique panoramas stretching across the alps including the Matterhorn, Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn, the Dent Blanche and even as far as the Mont Blanc. This hotel is an experience not to be missed..
A historic house turned into a beautiful boutique hotel with art close to the heart.. The building that houses the Caffè dell'Arte dates back to the 15th century and is one of the historic structures in the ancient section of Locarno. The Caffè dell'Arte was founded in 2003, on the ashes of an old tavern, combining style and elegance with the fascination of art, contributing to the rebirth of Locarno's historic center. The Bed and Breakfast Caffè dell'Arte was opened in 2007. The Bed and Breakfast started on the first floor with only two rooms and then grew to three and finally arrived at nine different rooms, all different from one another with unique names and designs. The terrace is very cosy and in the reception area there is a nice little concept store with art and fashion. Dont miss out on the many cute shops in the area.. We were told not to go and eat in the restaurants by the lake, but instead explore the small hidden restaurants in the back and what a hidden treasure they were. Delicious meals prepared with passion and love... ask the manager for all the secret places to go...
